point of failure.
The core of our wireless network is based in Communications House on Glencrutchery Road, Douglas. The location offers unrivaled physical security 24/7 and N+1 redundant power. For added peace of mind, the Island's police head quarters are located less than 75 meters from our primary point of presence.
Our custom built wireless network operates using licensed
frequency's around the Isle of Man. The network comprises
of a series of base stations offering excellent coverage around the Island. During the construction phase
of our network we installed enough network capacity for
even the most demanding applications of the future.
In addition to our independent telecoms infrastructure, we also operate our own off-island interconnection.
This extension to our network carries IP traffic to our
UK points of presence as well as voice traffic destined
for the PSTN.
To get the the highest quality connection and avoid reliance on MPLS circuits, we connect with multiple transit providers. From the top of Snaefell at 2036 ft ASL, we operate a series of licensed fixed wireless links connecting our network directly into the UK |
